She is a 17-yr-old maiko from the Tomikiku okiya in the Gion Higashi district of Kyoto. In an effort to boost patronage and support for the karyukai, the Tomikiku teahouse is open to the public — most places have an invitation-only rule, so you cannot just show up and expect to be let in. Apparently the girls of the Tomikiku are known for their ability to speak English: the okamisan studied in England, where her mother’s cousin works as a Nihon-buyo teacher in London! So, wow, these ladies must be a big hit with both foreign and Japanese tourists.
Being interested in kimono and traditional music and dance, after graduating middle school, Tomitae moved from Hyougo prefecture to Kyoto to become a maiko. She debuted on October 11, 2011, and says that the maiko life is more than she ever dreamed. She acknowledges that there is a lot of uncertainty in any decision in life, and she considered going on to higher education, but protecting the history of geiko is what Tomitae-san is confident that she wants to do ^-^ She dances and plays the koto, which is a somewhat unusual instrument choice for a maiko.
It’s great to see a maiko so well adjusted and happy in this demanding profession. She is a strong and graceful girl, and I have a lot of confidence that she will stay on to become a very successful geiko.

Mamemaru is one of the most famous lady in Gion Kobu, not the most famous but she has a great reputation.
Mamemaru start her geisha life in the Shibata okiya (this okiya has formed a another successful lady, the retired Mameyuri). Her misedashi was the 14 May 2009 and her erikae the 25 November 2013. She made nearly five years. Her One-san is probably the geiko Mamefuku but I’m not very sure… Her beautiful name means “Perfect bean”, personnally I love when the name of a geisha is with “-maru” (mean “perfect”) inside so I love “Mamemaru” .
During her maiko stage Mamemaru became quickly famous but less that her okiya sister Mameyuri. But Mameyuri is really most older that Mamemaru so it’s probably normal. So, Mamemaru is a good player for shamisen but her dance is a best. She have a very graceful movements and her fame with dance is deserved! You can see a dance where the 3 picture are taken here.
Now that she is geiko, she is one of the most famous dancer in Gion Kobu. Yet, she don’t have a little sister, sadly. I think she can to be a very great One-san. But the Shibata okiya have just geiko and Mamemaru is the most younger geiko in Shibata. Her okiya don’t have a shikomi.
I hope the best for her and a shikomi soon.
I really hope you like this, it’s hard to do it again but i love made this format of post *-*
I hate you so much
wow my brother was telling me this joke and he said
"if you’re fighting with a woman and she pulls a knife on you, just pull out the bread and cheese and meat and her womanly instincts will kick in and she’ll just make you a sandwich"
then all of a sudden our mom emerges from the kitchen holding a huge ass knife and she approaches my brother asking “sorry what was that?” and he started screaming
100000000 points to mom.
